I'm really loving getting
into the sculptural aspect of equine art. So, while I will
still take on commission paintings of your horses, dogs and cats, my
focus and goals for now will be the horse in 3D form. My first
resin cast offering has gone superbly well, and must thank everyone
for their support of this piece. It wouldn't have been
possible without you!
Again, I would like to
stress that this site is for your viewing pleasure and I do not take
kindly to others stealing my copyrighted images. Anyone caught stealing my images
will not be let off lightly. A word of warning.

Maestoso Dagmar - Eberl
Lipizzaner resin

Maestoso Dagmar - traditional
Brigitte Eberl Floating Trot Lipizzaner
stallion. This is is a customized Floating Trot Lipizzaner resin,
sculpted by Brigitte Eberl, I reworked
for my friend, Erin Schaefer. Erin said I could run with him,
so I did!! Whee! Since he arrived with a broken tail,
that was the first thing to go. "Off with his tail!!"
The original doesn't look much like a Lipizzaner to me, so he got a
complete makeover, making him heavier with more muscling and beefing
up his neck a bit plus giving him a new mane and tail. The
base got a new look as well -- pebbles and twigs just didn't do it
for me and didn't complement the piece, either! This fellow is
now correct for the breed and even has correct brands in all the
right places for a Lipizzaner bred at the Piber stud farm in
Austria. He
required correcting of his anatomical structure by checking and
fixing the bone lengths from side to side. Like the Spago
resin I worked on, he was off in the shoulders and really off in the
hind legs. Everything got fixed and he's now a beautiful boy!
He is slated to be painted a medium dapple grey. I hope to get
pictures of him with his new "clothes" and add those here to his
page. Click on any of the
captions or pictures to see larger views of him. In a couple
of the larger
views, I've added thumbnails in the upper corners showing how he
looked originally.
