Recoloso - classic scale Iberian
Stallion. Here is Recoloso, an
Iberian stallion performing a dramatic spin on the hocks.
Inspired by an Andalusian stallion in the book, This is the Spanish
Horse, this
dynamic piece is the result of countless hours of work and was the
runaway winner of the Rags to Riches Custom Challenge, receiving a
staggering amount of the votes cast. Yes, he is a drastic
custom, but don't let that fool you as he is anatomically and biomechanically
correct, and has even been mistaken for a completely original
sculpture. He can definitely hold his own against any Spanish
resin on the market! A one mold run limited edition
resin, he was solid cast by
Resins by Randy, and is their usual high quality castings, complete
with wire reinforced legs, etc. His base is detachable for
easy storage and transport to and from shows, so no worries about
his legs getting broken!
