Recoloso

Recoloso is selling quite well and now just about all of the run has been spoken for (there are 6 left).  If you've been thinking about obtaining one, now is your chance before they are all gone! (click here)

The latest addition to the site is a gallery of painted Recoloso castings. I've just updated it with some new works.  Take a look at these wonderful pieces!  Click here: (Gallery)

I'm really loving getting into the sculptural aspect of equine art.  So, while I will still take on commission paintings of your horses, dogs and cats, my focus and goals for now will be the horse in 3D form.  My first resin cast offering has gone superbly well, and must thank everyone for their support of this piece.  It wouldn't have been possible without you!

Again, I would like to stress that this site is for your viewing pleasure and I do not take kindly to others stealing my copyrighted images.  Anyone caught stealing my images will not be let off lightly.  A word of warning.

Recoloso

Recoloso - classic scale Iberian Stallion.  Introducing my latest piece, Recoloso, an Iberian stallion performing a dramatic spin on the hocks.  Inspired by an Andalusian stallion in the book, This is the Spanish Horse, this dynamic piece is the result of countless hours of work and was the runaway winner of the Rags to Riches Custom Challenge, receiving a staggering amount of the votes cast.  Yes, he is a drastic custom, but don't let that fool you as he is anatomically and biomechanically correct, and has even been mistaken for a completely original sculpture.  He can definitely hold his own against any Spanish resin on the market!  Due to the overwhelming interest in this fellow, I am offering him as a one mold run limited edition resin.  Should there be enough orders to warrant it (which there has been, I'm happy to report!), he would be cast by Resins by Randy, and be their usual high quality castings, complete with wire reinforced legs, etc.  His base is detachable for easy storage and transport to and from shows, so no worries about his legs getting broken!  Click on any of the captions or pictures to see larger views of him.  Ordering details are below the pictures.

UPDATE as of 2/24/08!!  Recoloso is just about sold out!  I have the last castings in hand and ready to ship; and the edition is just about gone (there are 6 left).  I plan on limiting the run to 50 copies, plus 5 Artist Proofs, so now is the time to obtain one if you’ve been thinking about it.  I have also added a gallery of painted pieces for your viewing pleasure.
